Amanpour Sold For $1.5 Million

The defending Queen Of The Turf Stakes winner Amanpour created some big hype in the racing industry as the filly was sold for a staggering $1.5 million during the third day of the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale at the Gold Coast on Friday. The big winning bid was made by the Rosemont Stud and the Blue Sky Bloodstock, which also made some two other successful big bids for Ygritte ($800,000) and Swing Sensation ($330,000).

The Gai Waterhouse trained filly was among the seven horses sold from the Henry Cojuango‘s estate.

Another big business that was finalized on Friday was from the stable was for Street Rapper, where a bid from a Hong Kong group was finalized for $1.3 million.
